Mexican Casserole

Last weekend was too much fun. It was my husband’s birthday and we had lots of family in town. We started the night out by having a great dinner at Halcyon, then worked it off by bowling at Strike City, and then out to Kazba for more drinks and dancing!

Eating Through the Big Apple – Part 1

Over the last couple of months, I’ve been traveling to NYC for my day job. While I do I have to work while I am up there, I try to make the most of my time away from home and experience as much as possible, even if it means returning emails and working on presentations late into the night! If you have read my travel tips and see how I prepare for a work trip, I will tell you now – I didn’t do much preparation before going to NYC.

Stormy Day Stir Fry

These stormy nights remind me of being in Cape Town, South Africa. The weather there was so variable, the temperature was always turning from one extreme to the other. One minute it was raining and cold, the next sunny and hot! Going to the continent of Africa especially South Africa has always been one of my favorite trips. We saw and did everything – Dove with great white sharks, repelled off Table Mountain, visited a witch doctor, saw Nelson Mandela’s prison cell on Robben Island, hung out with African penguins….

Sushi Secrets

Secrets secrets are no fun! Secrets secrets hurt someone! That someone is you…. As you might have heard, the Japanese are one of the cultures that have the longest life expectancy. Many studies have been conducted to find out why this is true. All studies point in one direction. Their diet. Raising land animals isn’t very practical in Japan, so right off the bat they are protected from factory farming practices and meat/dairy products that are filled with harmful additives, antibiotics, and growth hormones.
