This year at Expo West (the largest natural products show in the US) – I found myself spending more time in my hotel room than on the showroom floor. The Kraft petition was going viral and the media was chasing me. It was a double edged sword, because yes, I wanted to get the message out there about how Kraft is exploiting Americans by using products banned overseas in their Mac and Cheese, but I also wanted to support all the growing and wonderful organic companies by sharing their new amazing products with you!
I wish I had a chance to see more. This is only a glimpse of what the show had to offer – I hope you enjoy the recap, new products and things that make me scream in excitement!
We spent about a week of our recent South American vacation visiting the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Cusco in Peru. It’s hard to say which part of Peru was the most beautiful. I feel pictures can’t even do the country justice, but here they are anyways… I hope you enjoy taking a glimpse…
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always wanted to visit the Amazon… I saw this movie called “Where the River Runs Black” when I was seven… and thinking back, all I can really remember about the movie was two boys playing with pink dolphins in the river and how remote, peaceful and pristine the whole environment looked. The movie definitely had an impact on me. So to say this was a vacation that made all my dreams come true… is quite the understatement.
Visiting the Amazon River is one of the top experiences of my life. I hope you enjoy the pictures and candid moments I am about to share with you…. including all the AMAZING super foods I ate while I was there…
No. I’m not making out with my juice. This is what happens when I find juice on vacation. I cherish every ounce of goodness… This was a mix of carrots, cucumbers, celery and sprouts. It was one of my only pure vegetables juices I had while traveling last month. I had it in Cusco, Peru, where juice was available all over the place…but we were sadly only there a few days.
Spending the holidays in Peru has been pure magic. Whatever you are celebrating this end of year… I hope it is just as magical.
I am forever grateful for your readership. Your support and love gives me so much more than you can imagine. Thank you.
I’ll be back to blogging soon…In the meantime, please follow me on Facebook where I am sharing moments from my journey. Until then…
