  1. Thank you thank you for posting this. I live in Charlotte and love going out to eat but never know where to go to make healthy choices. I love your blog and love that you reference local places in Charlotte! Please keep it up!

    • I just actually ate there again the other day… they have a lot of vegetarian options – which I like… however, I haven’t quizzed them like I have the other places I recommend here on this list.

  2. My wife is leaving tomorrow to visit our daughter who lives in Charlotte….what a blessing to find the article listing these foods and restaurants!!

  3. Hey food babe, I live in Greensboro nc. Do you have other recommendations other than earth fare which I visit almost every day

  4. Thank you for this list! I’ve been wanting to email you and ask you what your Charlotte recommendations are, and just stumbled upon this part of your blog. I love the research you have done on behalf of all of us. Don’t stop.

  5. PLEASE do an investigation on Jason’s Deli!!!!! That’s a favorite among families I know, and I am curious if we are truly making a healthier choice??

  6. Just discovered your website through “100 Days of real Food” blog; and I’m so happy to find out you’re in Charlotte! Have you visited Crisp (on 7th st)? they have a great salad bar, would love to know your opinion about them!

    • So glad you found Food Babe website! Vani hasn’t really looked into Crisp’s ingredients to give her opinion. If you do some investigating of your own, please let us know!

  7. Vani,

I forgot to ask you if you could add Nourish (for home delivery veggie and vegan)to the list and do any places on the list besides Luna’s do something without olive oil. I follow Furhman (ETL) and I rarely have any oil, which includes olive. I love, love, love Indian food, but was not sure if Woodlands could do anything without oil or any other restaurant for my husband and i who are vegans—Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is so hard to find vegan, non GMO and oil free. I wish more chefs would cook with a cashew or almond base to their dishes instead of using oil! Again, thank you, you are a wealth of I info and your clean eating pays off since you look amazing!!
    Sandy
