Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a small bowl, mix together the jam and arrowroot powder. In a separate bowl, mix whisk together the egg and heavy cream.
Cut the sheet of puff pastry into 8 equal size rectangles. Spoon 1 heaping tablespoon of jam onto the center of 4 rectangles, leaving roughly ½” around the edges. Brush the edges lightly with the egg wash. Place a puff pastry rectangle on top and seal using the back of a fork. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
Brush the tops of each strudel with the egg wash. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool a bit.
While the strudels are baking, make the icing by mixing together all ingredients in a bowl, adding more cream if needed to thin. Once strudels have cooled, drizzle the icing on top and serve.
