Aquasana Water Filters (from $57.00 with FREE Shipping)

Aquasana water filters

Filtering my water was one of the least effort things I had to do to improve my overall health, hair and skin – but one of the most rewarding! I’m so thankful I figured out why a simple commitment to clean water (drinking and bathing) is so beneficial to health. It’s truly a gift to yourself and/or others that keeps on giving and that’s why a water filter is my first Food Babe Favorite gift of the season. Tap water can be full of pollutants like arsenic, aluminum, prescription drugs, chlorine, fluoride, disinfection byproducts, pesticide run-offs, and a host of other substances that are known to cause cancer and diseases after long term exposure. Countertop water filters are great for anyone in your life who is still using plastic water bottles as their main source of drinking water – and the shower filter is a MUST for your hair and skin! Aquasana is offering many Food Babe partner discounts right now with free shipping through 12/15/16 when you visit them here.

Juicer or Blender:

I am a firm believer that green juicing (using a juicer) and green smoothies (using a blender) are both important in one’s quest for health and wellness. I drink both types of green drinks often but for different reasons. I drink juice to deliver as many nutrients to my body as possible at once and I drink green smoothies for the beneficial fiber and as a meal replacement. This makes an amazing gift for anyone in your life who is taking back control of their health and their food. See my picks for the best ones here!

  1. Thank you for this list! My hubby has tried journaling the last couple of years and I am so excited to give him the Five Minute Journal for Christmas this year! Hoping it is something he can stick with!!! Happy Holidays!

    1. I ordered 10 to give as gifts this year 🙂 The book is amazing! So many little bits of inspiration 🙂

  2. Vani OMG,

I appreciate all your good work!

When I saw the title of your e-mail blast I was expecting the most important new book to be on there. Are you playing it safe? Medical Medium: Life-Changing Foods by Anthony William is by far the best book on food and health out there right now. The book was released in the beginning of November, and it is worth its weight in gold, my friend. Appreciation and love into the new year and beyond!

  3. My 7th grader was so excited to see this list. She picked Rachel Carson for her year long history project. The theme was a person from history who stood up for what they believed in. She is currently reading Silent Spring. Wonderful book for young girls to read!!!

  4. Just want you to know – the plastic beta container with the plants on top is animal torture for the little beta. No air, no plants to hide and sleep in. Its a small prison and very lonely death. Please read up on Beta health and care and consider taking it down. Children should see their animals thriving and happy. This little guy is suffocating in terrible isolation. Thanks for taking a second look!

  5. Please reconsider the Beta trap disguised as a plant vase. Its a terrible suffocating environment for the little guy. No air…no plants to hide and sleep in. A lonely death.

      1. Thank you Vani!!!You are an angel, getting rid of plastic, replacing with glass containers. Do the glass straws come in different sizes? I learn so much for you.

  6. Thank you so much for all you do! Best wishes for your good health and clarity to continue to share the goodness!

  7. Rachael Carsons book ,is not a good book. Shame on you for even mentioning it and books like it with that ajenda! Shows what side of the fence you are on.

      1. Thank you for including Rachel Carson’s “Silent Spring” in your list. I would do that, too, & I would put it right up at the top of the list, like you did. her words have the ability to open eyes to what is, and to a responsibility to ourselves and to our children and to our and environment and to our futures, for which I am grateful, not just for the knowledge of what’s written there, but for the realization that our words can be of vital importance and that they can make a difference. Thanks!

  8. Butcher Box does not have an option for those who don’t eat red meat or pork. As I’m one who only eats fish and fowl, this is terribly disappointing.

And you don’t find out about this unless you sign up for an account.

  9. Dear Madam,

Thank you for list of books.I am living at chennai from India. is this all books are suitable for Indian food culture and Indian climate?

    Thank You,

    with regards,

    S.Kongu Vel.

  10. I’ve tried to find articles by using the Search bar, but I never get articles related to what I’ve typed.
