Available in stores everywhere

Food Babe Kitchen includes over 100 recipes with beautiful FULL COLOR photos of each one.

My first book publisher wanted to print my cookbook in black & white! I couldn’t let that happen and begged my agents to get me out of that deal. I wanted full color photos of every recipe, and was able to find a new publisher who saw my vision. Now, Food Babe Kitchen is everything that I dreamed my first cookbook would be!

It has personal photos of myself with my family with all the recipes we make on a daily basis.

So, let’s take a peek inside!

At the beginning of the book, this is the first page… And I wish this for children everywhere!

The first 55 pages in the book will help you set up your very own Food Babe Kitchen at home.

This is the MOST comprehensive food shopping guide I’ve ever done.

I walk you through every single aisle in the grocery store (literally, everything you could ever think of) and tell you exactly what to look for – and what to avoid!

This includes a FULL LIST of every single thing I stock in my pantry, with all the brand names that I love to buy. So there’s no guesswork!

By the end of this chapter, you will be an expert label reader in the grocery store. Guaranteed.

But, I don’t stop there.

You’ll also learn how to avoid toxic mistakes in the kitchen. This includes easy swaps for food storage, cookware and the supplies you use to cook with at home.

And, now let’s move onto the FUN part…THE FOOD!

Food Babe Kitchen has all the recipes that my family and I LOVE to make and eat together. Our favorite breakfasts, salads, smoothies, weeknight dinners, fun foods, and treats.

Chapter 3: Mornings

Everything from my Sweet Potato Waffles that are perfect on the weekend to my 1-Minute Steel Cut Oats recipes that my family and I eat almost every day.

Chapter 4: Drinks, Shakes & Smoothies

This is the best fast food in this book. All my delicious favorites are packed in this chapter for you.

Chapter 5: Soups and Salads

Here’s where you’ll get your daily dose of greens with never-boring salads and comforting soups that make great leftovers all week long.

Chapter 6: Snacks and Fun Food

This is where you’ll find Homemade Doritos (yes, really!) and all the little snacks we like to eat at home while watching a movie or having a party.

Chapter 7: Main Dishes

You’ll get dinner on the table in 30 minutes flat with many of these recipes! Whether you’re making decadent salmon or an entire roasted chicken with vegetables, it can be done almost any night of the week.

Chapter 8: Desserts

If you have a sweet tooth (like me!), this chapter is for you. This picture is of my famous homemade strawberry cake that I made for my daughter’s 3rd birthday. These treats will satisfy you with ingredients that are naturally sweet and relatively low in sugar, or at the very least, made with nontoxic ingredients.

  1. Hi,
I pre-ordered your book on Amazon today after listening to your podcast with Mark Hyman. Loved it. I then jumped on your sight and saw the bonus offer for pre-ordering. Can I still get that even though I ordered through Amazon?

    1. Hi there
I did the same thing after watching Mark too. I’d love the plans but there was no indication I’d receive them.

  2. I am so grateful that this author is working hard to make changes in our food system and in people’s lives as they shop and cook.
I am gluten free and also do not eat mammals, so I am unsure how practical this book will be for me. I wish I knew how many recipes would require a lot of substitutions.
I am intrigued by the monthly food plans offered, but have the same question about those.

    1. Hi Sue! Great question. The cookbook is plant-based but is not completely vegan or meatless. I’d say the majority of recipes are meatless, but there are recipes with meat. There are over 100 recipes in the cookbook and most can be easily modified.

The majority of the recipes are also gluten-free or can be modified to be. Vani uses oat or almond flour in most of her baking.

The meal plan recipes are similar to the cookbook.

There is also an ingredient substitution guide in the book to assist with modifications.

      I hope this helps!

      1. Thanks for this reply. It was exactly my question. I am 100% plant-based, gluten-free, mostly dairy-free, sugar-free, and can not eat nutritional yeast. (And I only eat organic.) My health has improved immensely due to these changes.

  3. Are these recipes kid friendly? Could you please provide examples of those that would be? Life is quite tough right now and I can’t make two menus each day. So would sincerely like your input. Thank you!!
